LCEA Security Keys MAY 2009
LCEA Security Keys MAY 2009
Article
Both Isbem v3.4 and Orcalc v.2.0.1 require an eight digit security key code to enable most of its features.
These keys are sent automatically by EPCgen.net, which is external to CIBSE Certification, after attempting to run the software for the first time.
If you are using OR CALC:
- Open a new DEC/AR and enter your LCEA number as it appears on CASA (LCEA123456), Click on Get details, the software will attempt to connect to the Internet in order to retrieve your details and trigger an email from
activation@epcgen.net
which will contain your security code.
++ If the software displays a message similar to "Unable to connect to EPCgen.net/Landmar" please make sure that the internet settings on OR CALC/ Navigate/Internet Settings are correctly configured. - Please ask your IT Admin for details about your Proxy Server or Internet Connection and then try the above process again++
If you have not received the code after your assessor details have been imported from the National Register, please ask your IT admin to check from Spam Messages from
activation@epcgen.net
Otherwise contact us again so we can request a code on your behalf.
If you are using iSBEM v3.4:
Open iSBEM and open a sample calculation file. Go to General/ LAN Settings and make sure that your proxy server or LAN settings are correctly configured. **Ask your IT admin for information on this subject.
Go to General/ Assessor Details and input your LCEA number as it appears on CASA (LCEA123456), you should notice the EPCgen field going red and displaying the message "Invalid Code".
Go to the ratings tab and click on Calculate EPC. The software will open a black window showing a list of calculation and validation processes. At the end of this process, the software will try to connect to Landmark, if the request for a code was successful, a "messages" tab will appear under the ratings tab displaying a confirmation message.
If your code is not delivered, please check your SPAM systems for emails from
activation@epcgen.net
If the request was invalid the message will be similar to "Assessor Details not found"; at which point you will need to contact us so we can request a code for you.
**PLEASE DO NOT MODIFY THE SUBJECT OF THIS EMAIL, THE NUMBER YOU SEE ALLOWS OUR TEAM TO TRACK YOUR REQUESTS**
